This Privacy Policy explains how 1Stayz Incorporated (“1Stayz”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit 1stayz.com (the “Site”) or contact us about 1Stayz. It does not cover information that churches process using the 1Stayz platform. That is described in the section “Guests who receive messages from a church” below and in our agreements with churches.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Pilot and contact forms: your name, email address, church name, role, approximate weekly attendance and anything you write in your message.
- Email and calls: what you send us when you contact us directly.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps to deliver and secure the Site.
- Analytics: only if you agree, we collect aggregated usage data such as pages viewed and referring sites. See Cookies and analytics.
We do not ask for sensitive information on the Site. Please don’t include it in form messages.
2. How we use it
- To respond to your questions and evaluate pilot requests.
- To send you updates about 1Stayz if you asked for them. You can opt out at any time.
- To operate, secure and improve the Site, and to prevent abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use Site visitor information to train AI models.
3. Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)
We rely on your consent (analytics, marketing emails), our legitimate interests (responding to inquiries, securing the Site) and, where relevant, steps you ask us to take before entering into an agreement (pilot discussions). You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. How we share it
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the Site and respond to you, under contracts that limit their use of it:
| Provider type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Website hosting | Delivering the Site and its forms [e.g. Vercel] |
| CRM or email service | Storing and answering inquiries [name your provider] |
| Error monitoring | Detecting technical errors [if enabled] |
| Analytics | Aggregated usage statistics, only with consent [if enabled] |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or acquisition, with notice where required.
5. Cookies and analytics
The Site works without cookies. We store your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage so we don’t ask again. If we enable analytics, it runs only after you choose “Allow analytics” in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. Fonts and images are served from our own domain, so visiting the Site does not send your information to font or ad networks.
6. Retention
We keep inquiry and pilot information for as long as needed to respond and to run the pilot relationship, and then for up to [24 months] unless you ask us to delete it sooner or the law requires us to keep it longer. Server logs are kept for up to [30 days].
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email privacy@1stayz.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires (generally 30 days in the EEA/UK and 45 days in California). You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
In the last 12 months we collected identifiers (name, email), professional information (church and role) and internet activity (logs, and analytics if you consented), for the purposes in section 2. We do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use sensitive personal information. You have the right to know, delete, correct and opt out, and we will not discriminate against you for using these rights. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf.
9. Guests who receive messages from a church
When a church uses 1Stayz to follow up with its guests, the church decides what information is collected and how it is used, and 1Stayz processes that information on the church’s behalf under a written agreement. Guests can reply STOP to any text to stop messages, or HELP for help. Questions about a church’s use of your information should go to that church. You can also contact us at privacy@1stayz.com. Each church’s information is kept separate from other churches. Any future use of church information to improve our models would happen only with the church’s consent and only after removing personal details.
10. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our providers may process information there. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Children
The Site is intended for church leaders and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and reputable providers to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
13. Changes
We will post any changes here and update the date above. If a change is significant, we will give more prominent notice.
